...but you can call me Tim.
Hey
I know that stepping into a management role for the first time can be overwhelming - like your Dad just threw you into the deep end of the pool so you would learn to swim. Right? I get it. I've been there, seen that. And, I wished that I had had a how-to manual or even just a laminated cheat sheet to carry in my pocket to help me. But, now that I have been in management roles for almost 30 years, I feel like I am in a place where I can give something like that to you. My goal, as a manager and a human, has been to help others around me find the path to their own success. And, Success Journeys Hub and my upcoming book - Success Journeys: The Atlas for a New Manager's Leadership Discovery - are ways that I can guide more, like you, to get there. I want to provide you with the practical, no-BS, real-world, actionable advice and strategies that I wish I had when starting out.

You got this! Let's get started.

P.S. Send me a message to tell me where you are on your journey. I would love to read it.

My Own Journey
I have been a working manager for nearly three decades, which means I have seen a lot of changes - and a lot of new managers.. Currently I’m a Senior Manager, IT Operations Strategy (PMP), in the same company where I started as a mullet wearing college student 35 years ago. During that time, I got pretty good at leading teams and driving success.
Leading Through Challenges
And I have done my share of leading all kinds of projects and initiatives from major cyberattack crisis' to office startups and decommissions, to software implementations and datacenter upgrades.
Beyond the Workplace
But that’s not the only place I spend my time and gift my skills. I've also volunteered to serve my community having held leadership positions such as Program Manager for TEDx San Antonio, board member for the Fiesta for the Mind nonprofit, and member at large on the San Antonio Arts Commission, Performing Arts, Film, and Music Committee.
My Education
I earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Technology Management, which gave me a strong theoretical foundation that bundles with my practical expertise.
My "Why"
I am often approached by new managers to give them guidance and advice in dealing with management situations and scenarios they come across. This, I think, is what provides me with the biggest sense of accomplishment and pride. Sure, I love challenges and strategy and a project well done, but what fulfills me is helping to develop people. That is what Success Journeys: The Atlas for a New Manager's Leadership Discovery are supposed to be: the culmination of all my experience and a practical guide for new managers. Through Success Journeys Hub, I aim to provide that ongoing guidance and support to help you navigate your own leadership journey.
TESTIMONIALS
I am a proud product of, and a better manager TODAY, because of the "Tim-isms" shared throughout this book. I will forever consider Tim a lifelong gift and friend that I was hired under, have worked for, and currently work alongside, at this juncture in my career. So many of his talks with me, including the not-so-easy ones (i.e. me almost getting a write-up for being too helpful to other departments, at the cost of my actual job responsibilities) truly helped craft my management-style. Tim delivers his messaging in his laid back, but-tells-it-like-it-is, kind of approach. The saying, "Busy is, as busy does..."; or "Be the boy in blue..." and other priceless nuggets, are ones I continue to share with mentees or just about anyone I come across that are building their own career paths. Thank you, Tim, for capturing all of "you" in a book that will help EVERYONE!
